Water Park Libiąż
Libiąż, Poland

The Libiąż Water Park in Libiąż, southern Poland, is an outstanding example of modern leisure architecture, focusing on functionality, light guidance and clarity of design. Designed by the architectural firm Pro-Arch², the building impresses with its precise spatial composition and translucent façade design, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also energy efficient. The use of LINIT®EcoGlass prismasolar with integrated thermal insulation plays a key role in this concept.
This specially selected profiled glass combines several architectural requirements in one building element: it creates a homogeneous, daylight-flooded interior atmosphere without causing any annoying glare. The prismatic surface of the prismasolar variant diffuses daylight softly and evenly, creating a pleasant light quality in the swimming and wellness areas. At the same time, the glass protects against direct views from outside and preserves the privacy of guests – an aspect that is particularly important in swimming pool construction.
The chosen glass solution also scores highly thanks to its energy properties. The combination with translucent thermal insulation material (TWD) significantly improves the U-value and contributes to a holistically designed energy concept. The construction minimises heat loss and reduces the hall's heating requirements without having to forego large glass surfaces.
The profiled glass is visually appealing both during the day and at night. While it creates a calm, almost textile façade effect in daylight, it begins to glow from within in the evening hours thanks to the interior lighting, giving the building a subtle, atmospheric presence in the urban space. The façade appears light and open, yet remains clearly structured and robust – properties that are particularly important in public spaces.
