Culture Refinery K714 Car Park
Monheim am Rhein, Germany

The new Kulturraffinerie K714 parking garage in Monheim am Rhein, Germany, is one of the largest and most modern premium parking garages in Europe. It is named after the Kulturraffinerie K714 event venue, which was built on the site of a former Shell refinery. Because the building is located directly on the Rhine River, it was given the abbreviation K714, since the Rhine has already flowed 714 kilometers at this point. The imposing parking garage is over 20 meters high and has more than 2,000 parking spaces spread over seven levels. The intelligent building technology is operated by solar panels on the roof with sustainable solar energy. In addition, the PV system supplies the existing charging stations for electric cars with electricity. In the near future, the parking garage is planned to be equipped with a large number of charging stations. A dynamic traffic control with license plate recognition ensures that the cars can leave the area quickly after the events. The glass façade made of LINIT®EcoGlass with an azure coating has ventilated levels that are designed to be transparently open and flooded with daylight. The view of the Rhine from a height of 20 meters is unique. In addition, there is an exclusive floor without public access and public presentation of vehicles, which is available with every comfort, especially for vintage and classic cars. An extra-wide six-meter entrance provides access to 300 parking spaces with a minimum parking area of 2.55 m x 5 m.
