Text description provided by the architects. Technic-Center Frankenberg/Sa. Engineering GmbH (TCE) has been developing and manufacturing high-quality assemblies and devices for the electrical and electronics industry at its site in Frankenberg/Sa for over 30 years. Its core competencies lie in the development and production of chargers, switching power supplies and motor controls.

The new construction of the approximately 2,000 m² electronics production facility as an extension of the existing production in a listed factory building sets standards in terms of sustainability, resource consumption and energy efficiency:

- Conscious decision in favour of new construction on the neighbouring inner-city industrial wasteland and against new construction on a greenfield site

- Optimal use of the sealed areas with a two-storey building planned into the slope

- Sustainable wood as the building material for the structure and façade

- Efficient use of renewable energy sources for electricity and heat generation through geothermal and solar systems
