Queensmill School
London, England

Queensmill School in London is an internationally renowned special school for children and pupils with autism spectrum disorders. It has spacious classrooms, a garden, a playground and a modern, interactive sensory room.
The building is quiet, designed in a simple, clear form and decorated in neutral colours. It provides the ideal backdrop for the pupils' learning environment and is designed so that the children can easily find their way around. Class sizes are kept small, with a maximum of eight children.
The 4,100 square metre building was constructed in eleven months using prefabricated concrete slabs and wall panels. Low-iron LAMBERTS LINIT®EcoGlass profile glass units are embedded in the white plastered façade. The sandblasted panes provide privacy for the children and flood the classrooms with soft, pleasant light.
