- Product Innovation Award (PIA), Architectural Products magazine

Since its opening in 2018, Pier 17 in New York has earned a reputation as one of the most popular event locations in New York. It is located near South Street Seaport and offers a fantastic view of the Brooklyn Bridge. On the ground floor, a protected, open pedestrian area offers a mix of restaurants and shops. The 30,000-square-meter Pier 17 in downtown Manhattan is both a shopping center and an event location. It is home to numerous boutiques and high-class restaurants. Concerts by well-known international artists take place on the one-and-a-half-hectare roof. The new construction of Pier 17 was planned by the New York architectural firm ShOP-Architects, which also designed the luxurious 472-meter-high Central Park Tower, the tallest residential building in the world. The design of Pier 17 was intended to reflect the typical New York street scene, with smaller individual buildings housing shops and restaurants, separated by an outdoor pedestrian zone. Two large floors, each with an area of 60,000 square meters, stretch over the small shops as a roof. Linit EcoGlass glass panels produced using the iron arm method allow plenty of light through the curtain walls. The fine, silky solar surface structure of the environmentally friendly U-glass allows for optimal energy gains and gives the chic shopping center a very elegant appearance. Huge glass doors automatically lower in bad weather to close the lower levels of the complex.
