Nextech Headquarters / Skarn Chaiyawat

Nextech is an IT service provider for infrastructure and data storage solutions. After years in Bangkok's expensive business district, the company decided to build its own headquarters in response to rising rents and changing work habits brought about by digital technologies and cloud solutions.

The new headquarters is located on a 400 m² site. It is divided into office space and a service core, separated by a vertical air space that allows light and air to circulate while creating meeting areas.

The interiors offer flexible, open workspaces with varying ceiling heights. Double ceiling heights in certain areas create a bright, airy atmosphere, while lower ceiling zones allow for private rooms.

A central design element of the façade is profiled glass on the east side of the building. It provides privacy from neighbouring residential buildings while allowing plenty of daylight into the building interior. The translucent surface ensures soft light diffusion and contributes to a pleasant room atmosphere. At the same time, the glass preserves a certain openness and lightness in the building's external appearance.

The façade is complemented by metal cladding and stainless steel grilles, which provide weather protection, heat buffering and a durable, low-maintenance aesthetic.
