The Bloch Building, the extension of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, USA, merges architecture and landscape to create a new way of experiencing architecture. The annex extends along the eastern side of the site and is divided into five glass structures, which Steven Holl calls “glass lenses”. Starting from the existing original building, they traverse the sculpture park to create new spaces and new perspectives.
