National University Museum Of Art
Seoul, South Korea
- Korean Institute of Architects Award (2006)

The Seoul National University Museum of Art is the first university art museum to be established in Korea. It is easily recognisable thanks to its location on a small hill near the campus entrance. The Dutch star architect Rem Koolhaas designed the shape of the building as a rectangular box that is cut diagonally by the slope of the hill.
This form then rises up on a small central core, the only point of contact with the ground. The building extends up and down the hill, following the surface of the earth and appearing to float above it. It has three floors below ground and three above, a size of 4,486 square metres and a height of 17.5 metres.
The translucent outer skin made of LINIT® EcoGlass profiled glass elements puts the works of contemporary Korean art in the right light and is, in addition to the shape of the building, an optical trademark of the museum. The Seoul National University Museum of Art was completed in July 2005.
