Glas Italia HQ

Glas Italia has been manufacturing high-quality glass furniture and accessories for residential and office use from crystal glass since 1970. The company's products are available on every continent and in more than 110 countries. Between 2006 and 2011, the company headquarters in Macherio, northern Italy, was renovated and expanded. A characteristic feature of the 10,000 square metre building is its façade made of LAMBERTS LINIT®EcoGlass, which was used to clad both the existing company buildings and a newly constructed building complex. It reflects the company's design principles and ingenuity. The pearl structure of its surface gives the building sections, which are composed of cuboids, an attractive appearance and at the same time makes a statement about glass as a material.

The U-glass profiles are mounted on a black metal frame, which further emphasises the modern design of the glass façade. Black-framed vertical windows interrupt the building envelope at irregular intervals. They provide an additional source of natural light and contribute to pleasant air circulation inside. Large black steel doors also characterise the appearance. They allow access for the trucks that arrive daily to supply the factory, which occupies the entire ground floor, with materials.
