Immergas is considered Italy's leading manufacturer of heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology components. Founded in 1964, it now has operations in over 40 countries. At its Domus Technica training centre, the company trains specialists and researchers in the field of renewable energies.
The ground floor of the building, which was completed in 2010, houses a spacious atrium, four exhibition rooms and a central showroom, which forms the heart of Domus Technica. On the top floor, a meeting room opens onto a terrace.
The 1,000-square-metre, cuboid building consists of a glass façade and a dark base below. Its appearance is inspired by the industrial professions in the region and, according to the architectural firm, is intended to create the image of a technical location.
The glass façade made of LAMBERTS LINIT®EcoGlass appears transparent and translucent at times, and solid and monochrome at other times, depending on the lighting conditions. In the dark, a lighting system transforms the completely energy-self-sufficient building into a bright light body.
