Division of Anatomy Med Uni Graz

The Department of Anatomy at MedUni Graz is one of Europe's largest training centres in this field. It enjoys a high reputation among international experts. For the new headquarters at MED CAMPUS Graz, the aim was to combine historical substance with new construction. The listed old building was carefully renovated, extensively restored and converted from a Wilhelminian-style building into a laboratory.

The profiled glass façade with translucent thermal insulation provides natural lighting while protecting against unwanted views from outside. This strikes a balance between spatial openness and respectful separation.
