ARA Arts Center
Seoul, South Korea

The ARA Arts Centre is an exhibition centre for contemporary and modern art in Korea. It is located in Seoul's largest cultural centre in the Insadong district. The exhibitions change regularly and also feature international works of art, such as those by British street artist Banksy.
Spread over nine floors, four of which are underground, there are 15 exhibition rooms with an average height of 3.50 metres. The largest area can accommodate artworks up to 14 metres high.
The entire façade of the building, which opened in September 2012, is clad with low-iron LAMBERTS LINIT®EcoGlass. The ‘solar’ surface structure refracts daylight, distributes it diffusely throughout the exhibition rooms and impressively showcases the works of art. The translucent profiled glass allows the building structures inside to be clearly seen from the outside.
