Airport Barcelona Parking
Barcelona, Spain

Around 28,000 square metres of sandblasted LAMBERTS LINIT®EcoGlass envelop the car park at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, which is Spain's second-largest airport with around 40 million passengers per year. All parking areas, stairwells and access routes from the gates to the aircraft are enclosed in the aesthetic glass façade.
The light-diffusing profiled glass filters in high-quality daylight, minimises glare and obscures the view of the parked cars from outside. At night, the backlit glass façade creates spectacular lantern effects.
The car park was designed by Spanish star architect Ricardo Bofill, who also designed the airport terminals and the Catalan National Theatre. Bofill was one of the most internationally renowned representatives of 20th-century Spanish architecture and received numerous architecture awards.
